Course Overview

Alice E. McKay

Alice is a dynamic and inspiring educator who tailors her teaching to ignite creativity and confidence in every student. She fosters independent thinking and self expression by guiding students through interactive drama exercises, thought provoking discussions, and collaborative projects, encouraging them to discover their unique voices before offering her expert insights.

Alice is a distinguished professional with a Licentiate Teaching Diploma in Speech & Drama from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and a Certificate in Education from the University of Brighton. Her extensive training also includes certifications in PSHE coordination, executive coaching, and Meta-certified community management.

Jay Khilnani

Jay adapts to his students' needs, and his teaching style is calm, engaging, and interactive. He uses realworld analogies and examples to help reinforce concepts and ideas which are new to his students, and he helps students find their own answers. Jay graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the City University of New York with Magna Cum Laude honors.

Upon relocating to Hong Kong, he provided tutoring services to students from DGS, St Clare's Girls' School, and Ying Wa Girls' School to prepare them for the DSE English examination during the initial years of its introduction.

Vivian Han

Vivian prioritizes creating an engaging and passionate classroom that fosters communication and self-exploration.

Vivian earned a B.A, in Literature and Music from Bard College in the US. She later obtained an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Chicago. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in journalism at the University of Hong Kong.

Vivian has taught in a variety of settings, including US Liberal Arts Colleges and an education institute in Beijing. She is highly dedicated to integrating the LAMDA syllabus within her drama lessons. Her TESOL certification from the US and her training in Composition Theory at Bard College further demonstrates her commitment to educational excellence.
